AI is fascinating. In a way I'm not surprised it's started writing fiction like this. Although we all like to think we're very unique there are clearly discernible patterns of human behaviour and character types, and they say only seven basic story plots. Feed enough data into a computer and it will eventually regurgitate something that reflects back reality to us even if its unrefined and clunky. I do though find AI troubling. What is real and what is simulation? Did I really write? Am I bot? Are my thoughts my own? Writing bad prose is one thing but what happens when the military use AI and set their robot soldiers and dogs loose? Still there's always AI resurrection...
