And I only recently learnt from a doctor on IG that our vulvas start to 'disappear' around menopause!

What in the world does that mean? I am 83 and it is all still there and accounted for!

Excellent article. When I was a boy I had a 'winkle', when I reached puberty it disappeared! No, it hadn't been removed its name was simply retired without discussion. As a child I disliked that name. All my friends had 'willies'-which sounded proper boyish, but 'winkle' sounded unduly comical, like an important part of my anatomy was being trivialised. Now I am older, sex and the erotic is less important than it once was, erections are less frequent and less 'firm'. Sometimes I fear the 'winkle' is about to make a comeback...

Excellent observations. Girls must be made aware very early of all their body parts and what they are used for in life. There should be no woman in our world who doesn't know where her vulva is and what her vagina is there for and how delightful it can be when her clitoris (for which she also knows the name) is stimulated. Women are people too.
